Can't change background color for mouse over for menu in menubar

Help! I am trying to style a menubar with a dropdown menu. I have tried using zktheme to produce a grey theme for the menubar, I have managed to change everything within the menubar, menu, menuitems and separator, But I can't seem to change the btn-over for the menu that is a child of the menubar. I still get the default light blue. I want to see a light grey when the mouse is over the menubar with the menu drop down
